Music in BDSM Play Sessions

Picking the right music to play to is important. The noise in the background sets the mood for what you’re doing. Even if you do just the same thing, a scene to delicate classical piano music would feel very different to one played to industrial metal, trip hop different to jazz. For most sessions I need a beat, and I usually like a depth, darkness and bassiness to the music. I prefer repetitive riffs often, and try not to go for anything too jarring.

For most sessions I have a massive playlist with music from a bunch of artists I know well which I put on random. It’s interesting to see what comes up next, sometimes the music is perfect and couldn’t have been planned better for the moment. Other times it’s a bit off, but as scenes can’t be scheduled that’s always a risk with any music choice. Sometimes it can be ignored, and occasionally you just need to pause and change it, no big deal.

Below is a selection of my favourites from that list, if we’ve played a few times you’ll most likely recognise at least a few of these. Enjoy.

Oh, and apologies for the quality of some of these, I had to do some compression magic to get them up here so they’re a bit fuzzy. I recommend you check out other songs by these artists too, they’re awesome for playing to.
